All Day Field Trip!!

Today was our first all day field trip of the year. For the second year in a row we went to the Craft Championships held at the Augusta Civic Center. The event that was by far the most entertaining was the nail driving (and pulling) contest. Teams of four had to compete against three other teams and the clock. Each team member had to drive four nails, in four different levels, and then pull the nails out with a nail puller. Our first team started slow but after several attempts, cut their time almost in half. They were beat out by the winning time by three seconds. At least that is what they told me. It was a fun day and I think most of the students had a good time, especially Brad , who won the new hammer in the drawing on the bus ride home. Next week will be an off week with a two day workshop for staff and then it is off for the Holiday. I love this job. Have a nice Thanksgiving. We have much to be thankful for. Mr.D.
